Disciplinary

#304 Martyn Parker

Following an incident that took place at King’s Lynn on 13 May 2017, #304 Martyn Parker has been found guilty of attacking another car on the infield.

Parker was issued with a 3 month ban, 2 months of which have been suspended for the following 12 months.

Parker can return to racing on 14 June 2017.


#161 Billy Smith

Following an incident at King’s Lynn on Saturday 29 April 2017, #161 Billy Smith has been found guilty of dangerous and irresponsible driving.

Smith was issued with a 3 month ban, 2 months of which have been suspended for the next 12 months.

Smith can return to racing on 29 May 2017.


#220 Casey Englestone

Following an incident at Kings Lynn on Saturday 15 April 2017 #220 Casey Englestone was issued with a three month ban for “forceful fencing”. This ban will be suspended for twelve months.


#131 Timmy Barnes

Following an incident at Kings Lynn on Saturday 15 April 2017 #131 Timmy Barnes issued with a three month ban for “forceful fencing”. This ban will be suspended for twelve months.


#219 Luke Grief

Following completion of the 2016 Superbowl race at Cowdenbeath on Saturday 29 October, the SSCA conducted a post race investigation into the legality of the rear wishbones on the car of #219 Luke Grief.

Following this investigation, the SSCA has suspended the result of the 2016 Superbowl race, and issued Grief with a 6 month ban for a technical infringement.  Grief is permitted to  return to racing on 5 August 2017.

An SSCA Appeal Panel met on Thursday 8 December to hear the appeal lodged by #219 Luke Grief. The Panel dismissed the appeal and the suspension noted above remains.

#501 Alistair Strachan

Following an appeal in relation to incidents involving phyiscal violence, a full review was undertaken by the SSCA Review panel.

To bring the length of ban imposed into line with ORCi Guidelines, Strachan may return to racing from 20 July 2017.


#321 Marcus Skeels and #124 Ollie Skeels

Following incidents that occurred at Mildenhall Stadium on 15 October 2016, #321 Marcus Skeels and #124 Ollie Skeels have been issued with a six month ban from racing across all ORCi formulas, with three months suspended. They are permitted to return to racing on 15 April 2017.

This is in relation to a charge of threatening behaviour from a mechanic. The mechanic (their Father) has been issued with an ORCi Stadium ban and is not permitted to attend an ORCi circuit in  any capacity until 15 April 2017. A subsequent appeal was heard and not upheld.


#600 Barry Russell

Following incidents at Cowdenbeath on Saturday 29 October 2016 #600 Barry Russell was suspended from racing.

At a subsequent disciplinary board hearing it was found that Russell and/or mechanics were guilty of disrupting the smooth running of a race meeting and also threatening behaviour towards officials.

Russell has been issued with a 12 month ban from racing and is permitted to return on 29 October 2017. 

This is subject to appeal.


#389 Ryan Santry

Following incidents that took place at Mildenhall Stadium on 15 October 2016, an SSCA disciplinary panel has reviewed the matter and issued #389 Ryan Santry with a three month ban from racing.

This offence relates to verbal abuse.  This has also triggered a current suspended ban of one month for bringing the sport into disrepute which now comes into effect.

Santry may return to racing on 15 May 2017.

This matter is now the subject of an appeal.

07/12 - Appeal was not successful.


#671 Ross Graham

Following a technical infringement on 8 October at Cowdenbeath, #671 Ross Graham was suspended from racing, pending a Board of Control hearing.

At the subsequent hearing Graham was found guilty of having an exhaust not compliant with the 2016 Technical Specifications.

Graham has been issued with a six month ban, with three months of the ban suspended for 12 months. Graham is permitted to return to racing on 8 April 2017. 


#26 Tommy Barnes

Following an incident at Kings Lynn on 24 September #26 Tommy Barnes was found guilty of attacking a car on the infield.   Barnes has been issued with a 3 month ban, with 1 month suspended for the next 12 months.  This applies to all ORCi formula.

Barnes may return to racing on 25 November 2016.


#661 Graeme Shevill

Following an incident at Skegness Stadium on 7 July 2016 #661 Graeme Shevill was found guilty of dangerous and irresponsible driving.  

After taking into account Shevill’s previous disciplinary record, he has been issued with a 3 month ban with 1 month suspended for a period of 12 months from the date of the incident. 


#207 Greg Honeyman

Following an incident at Skegness Stadium on Saturday 9 July 2016, #207 Greg Honeyman have been issued with a ban of 1 month for hitting a stranded car, when avoidable action could have been taken.  This ban covers all ORCi formula.

Honeyman will be able to return to racing on the 9 August 2016


#698 Danny Colliver

Following an incident that took place at Smeatharpe Stadium, Taunton  on Sunday 19 June 2016 #698 Danny Colliver was issued with a one month ban from racing in relation to bringing the sport into disrepute.  

Colliver is permitted to return  to racing on 20 July 2016.


#995 Ben Goddard

Following an incident that took place at Smeatharpe Stadium Taunton on Monday 2 May 2016, the Saloon Stock Car Association have issued #995 Ben Goddard with a one month ban from racing which includes all ORCi formula.

This is as a result of a one on one follow in.

Goddard will be allowed to return to racing on 2 June 2016.


#389 Ryan Santry

Following an incident at Kings Lynn on Saturday 19 March 2016 #389 Ryan Santry was found guilty of bringing the sport into disrepute. The SSCA have issued a a one month ban, suspended for a period of 12 months.


#698 Danny Colliver

Following an incident at Cowdenbeath on Saturday 9 April, #698 Danny Colliver was found guilty of a one on one follow-in.

Colliver was issued with a three month ORCi ban. A period of one month of that is suspended for the duration of the 2016 season, and will expire on 13 November 2016.

Colliver is permitted to return to racing on 9 June, 2016.


Suspensions

Following incidents at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC, Birmingham) on 17 January 2016, at the conclusion of the Autosport Show, the ORCi has issued the following bans.

#747 Matthew Stirling has been issued with a 12 month ban from racing, and may return on 17 January 2017. Additionally, Stirling is prevented from attending the NEC Autosport Show for a period of 5 years. Costs of £250 were also imposed.

#620 Aaryn Triggs has been issued with a 12 month ban from racing and a stadium ban for the same period, and may return on 17 January 2017. Additionally, Triggs is prevented from attending the NEC Autosport Show for a period of 5 years. Costs of £250 were also imposed.

#153 Ryan Wright has been issued with a 2 year ban from racing and a stadium ban for 12 months, and may return on 17 January 2018. Additionally, Wright is prevented from attending the NEC Autosport Show for a period of 5 years. Costs of £250 were also imposed. 


#219 Luke Grief

Following an incident at Cowdenbeath on 3 October 2015, Grief has been suspended from racing pending a Board of Control hearing.

At the subsequent SSCA hearing Grief was found guilty of a follow in on #618 Stuart Shevill. The hearing took into account his previous disciplinary record and issued a 3 month ORCi ban from racing. Grief may return to racing on 3 January 2016.
